Resort manager Terry and the girls looking festive and getting ready for Xmas day.

It’s been a hectic xmas and new year for us all at Scandi Divers, so it took us a bit longer than we planned to get our photos organised and published, but better late than never!
The Scandi Staff Xmas party was a rousing success, and a great night for everyone. There was food, music, dancing, karaoke, xmas presents, and some of the male staff even got dressed in drag before singing! (which had everyone in stitches)
Big thanks to all the wonderful Scandi staff for their hard work in 2013. We wish them all the best for 2014!
[BMo_scrollGallery id=7]They finished off the trip with a farewell dinner at the Scandi Sky Bar, with a beautifully cooked pork lechon as the guest of honor!
Come back soon guys 🙂
[nggallery id=4]Many thanks to the ‘I Love Diving’ scuba-travel group from Shanghai, who spent a fun-filled few days with us at Scandi Divers recently. Lots of diving, and lots of fun!
While they were here they made sure to take a trip to the ever-impressive Verde Island dive site (not to be missed!) and finished off the trip with a delicious group dinner that turned into a quite a party, as you can see from the photos.
We had a great time with the ‘I love Diving’ group, and hope to see them all again soon!
[nggallery id=2]From all of us at Scandi Divers Resort, we would like to wish our good friend and Accounting Manager, Katherine Magsino a very happy birthday 🙂
Yes that is a birthday pizza. We thought we’d try something different than cake this year 😉
Our good friend and Dive Instructor Conan Fagan (yup, he’s an Irish lad) recently turned 29, so from all the staff at Scandi Divers Resort, we’d like to thank him for all his hard work and good times, and wish him all the best for the coming year!
In true Irish style the party started of quite civilised, but after a few beers it seemed that the cake was just too good not to be shared forcibly with everyone! A good time was had by all 😀
To celebrate a good year and reward the staff from Scandi Divers Resort and Campbell’s Beach Resort for all their hard work, the resort owners took the staff on a day excursion to Tagatay.
Tagatay is about halfway between Batangas and Manila. This scenic city, surrounded by mountains and forrests lies along a ridge averaging 2000ft above sea level, overlooking Taal Lake, and the still active Taal Volcano!
The staff enjoyed horse riding, zipline rides, picnicing and souvenier buying, overlooking the spectacular scenery of Lake Taal and the volcano.
We’d like to say thanks again to everyone, and congratulations on a job well done throughout last season!
Next time you stay at one of our resorts, ask our staff about an alternate way back to Manila and go and visit Tagatay yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
There’s a whole host of activities to choose from in Puerto Galera.
You can go paint balling & go-karting at extremesportsphilippines.com. Play a round of golf at the stunning Ponderosa golf club. Take a trip to Tamaraw waterfalls or ride in the caribou cart to the Hidden Paradise. Spend an afternoon on the idyllic, unspoilt Bulabud beach where you can rinse off from the sea in the fresh water stream. Learn to sail on ‘Wet Wednesdays’ with Puerto Galera Yacht Club. Ride the banana boats at White beach & get your souvenir shopping done afterwards or pop up to the shooting range for some target practice.
Back in Sabang you could blast some videoke Red Horse style in Charlies Bar or have a proper Sunday roast at Jack Daniels Resort or get down to Campbell’s Beach Resort for the Sausage Sizzle. Watch sport in the Friendship bar, eat Dynamite Lumpia from Small Shot Resto. Have a fantastic pizza/pasta from Bella Napoli, or Versuvio’s. Play some Killer Pool in The Big Apple. Drink with Martin Duggan and play the Joker Jackpot every Monday at Marti’s Bar. Go on the Hash Run every Saturday from Capt’n Gregg’s, stuff yourself full of steak at Hemingway’s Bistro or Pappa Fred’s Steakhouse & then dance it all off The Venue nightclub!
But of course the diving IS fantastic here and if you’re into that particular activity Scandi Divers is the place to stay!
