As promised, here’s a short clip of our new dive boat being launched, and taking here out for a spin! She purrs like a kitten!

Puerto Galera is blessed with an abundance of Lionfish and you can expect to see these gorgeous creatures at most of the dive sites. The cargo hold of The Alma Jane wreck is home to many Lionfish. Quite amazing!

Once again Scandi Divers Sky Bar was host to a great night out and a party with a twist. Mark Amdal (AKA Papa Mark), a resident of Big La Laguna, celebrated his longtime girlfriend Rose’s 30th birthday. With a rocking party at the Sky Bar, with local band School of Rock providing the entertainment.
After the food was served and everybody was well into the celebrations, Mark announced that he and Rose were secretly married the week before, so now the birthday party was also their wedding reception! SURPRIIIISE!
The rest of the night was a great party with lots of eating, drinking and dancing for all! All the best wishes for Mark and Rose from everyone on the Scandi Team!
Today saw the launching of Scandi Divers Resort’s new boat. This is now the second boat in our ‘fleet’.
The boat was originally built in Palawan, and was sailed to Puerto Galera three years ago by our friend Steve Hunter. Scandi Divers purchased the vessel and we have been on a mission to resurrect it.
The boat now has a fully covered dive deck and can accommodate 12 divers and their equipment.The boat is also fully equipped with VHF radio, Emergency Oxygen and First Aid. Off-season improvements will be a head and a small galley for tea and coffee during surface intervals.
We are looking forward to having many diving adventures at Verde Island, Maricaban Island, Chicken Feather Island and even further afar!
We have some video footage of the boat launch and some fast cruising around Puerto Galera, so we’ll share that with you as soon as we can!
