Scuba Diving tanks are required by law in the Philippines to undergo Hydro Testing every five years. Scandi Divers recently had the Aquaventure Whitetip Technicians along with their equipment to perform the required tests.
Tanks are pressurised to 5/3 of their of their normal fill pressure with water and the expansion and contraction of the tank is measured.
The tanks are then stamped when they pass, or destroyed if they fail.
